Camp Opportunity Featured on WNST During “A Cup of Soup or Bowl” Week

Camp Opportunity was honored to be featured once again during “A Cup of Soup or Bowl” Week — a beloved annual winter tradition hosted by Nestor Aparicio through WNST and Baltimore Positive.

This multi-day community charity event highlights local nonprofits making a difference across the region while raising food and support for the Maryland Food Bank and local soup kitchens serving families throughout the Baltimore area.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share Camp Opportunity’s mission and talk about the importance of creating safe spaces where children who have experienced abuse, neglect, and community violence can heal, build confidence, and simply be kids. Opportunities like this help raise awareness and connect more people to the work happening every day to support young people in our community.

We extend our sincere thanks to Nestor and the entire WNST team for their continued commitment to uplifting local organizations and bringing the community together around causes that matter.
